SassBoxx: The Subscription Box That Supports Products By Women Of Color

“African-Americans have invented and created some of the most important businesses and everyday [inventions]. We have to continue a legacy laid out before us,” Sapphira Martin, founder of SassBoxx said in a recent Huff Post interview.

Martin is doing her part in showing respect to Black-owned businesses with her subscription box service, SassBoxx. SassBoxx is a monthly subscription service which sends carefully curated items from Black-owned beauty & lifestyle brands.

With SassBoxx, you can pay each month per box, or subscribe for three, six, and twelve months. Launched in 2016, each SassBoxx contains four to seven items that range from candles, to beauty products, and cute stationary items – all celebrating #BlackGirlMagic. This month’s limited edition box for Mother’s Day is already sold out, but you can still sign up for next month’s box. Some of the past boxes have included products from Shea Moisture, Beautie Brownie, and Lisa Lacquer. The Mother’s Day box will include products from brands like Ivy’s Tea Co. and Dope Mom Behavior.
You may recognize Martin because she was featured on BET-Centric’s, Queen Boss, a competition of eighteen black business women who pitch their business to win $25,000 and the title of ‘Queen Boss.’
Also, Martin is currently the co-host of one of my favorite podcasts, The Black Girl Podcast.
